What is home-based support?
Home-based support will involve one or more therapists (depending on family or individual support) visiting you in your home environment, to offer you support with whatever issues you may be facing (e.g. parenting). The support will be both therapeutic and educational, enabling you to deal with underlying issues whilst learning new skills to help you on a day-to-day basis.
Who can use this service?
This service is currently being offered to any individual who is unable to leave their home, this may be due to a disability or a mental illness. The normal scale of fees will apply for this service (dependant on individual circumstances) plus mileage fees.
Otherwise this service will only be offered to any individual, couple or family who are in crisis (e.g. suicide, receipt of a parenting order etc), who are eligible for funding, and individuals will need to be referred to us by Health Care Professionals, such as social workers, health visitors, doctors etc. Being referred to us will not mean that confidential information is given to the referring Health Care Professionals, and confidentiality will always be maintained (accept by law).
